In 2009, while paragliding over the Gower, my chute collapsed and I fell 40 feet, breaking my back and paralysing my legs. I had to set about learning to walk again and discovered that although I couldn’t use my hamstrings I could ride a bike. After two years of competitive racing I went to the Paralympics in London 2012 and won two silvers and a gold medal, breaking two world records in one day.
With everything I have learnt about cycling excellence, physical fitness and mental resilience I now help others to break through in areas where they have been facing challenges. From marginal gains on the cycle track to improved mental health, I have created a raft of products to support those who want to inspire themselves to do and be their best, every day.
My coaching programs are for cyclists of all levels, bringing the benefits of my elite skillset, knowledge, experience and gold medal winning values, and combined with your desire to succeed, exponential improvements to your riding. Using the online program, ‘Training Peaks’, you’ll be able to keep in contact, keep accountable and keep improving every day.
My learning programs will teach you about what it takes to get to the top. Everything I know can be accessed through online training and coaching, webinars or booking me as a public speaker. It’s not easy to achieve sustained high performance on the track and in the board room but it’s certainly not impossible.
